Work With the Sky: Week of September 7 – 13

Dial in the details.

Almost everything significant this week happens on one day. Thursday the 10th brings a Venus ingress, a Mercury ingress, a Uranus station and a New Moon. Refine your process and dial in the details around this New Moon just ahead of your next push.

Back again with another week ahead astrology forecast for those of us putting astrology to work in our businesses.

This is meant to be a short read with clear directives you can apply as an entrepreneur. If you want to take this one step further, pull your birth chart and see where these planetary events are happening in your own chart. That is how you make astrology more personal. If you are not sure how, I offer sessions to explain exactly that, and more.

I always say… things are easier in our businesses and our lives when we work with the sky instead of against it. So, here’s how you can do that during the coming days.

Venus enters Scorpio – September 10.

What it means for your business: Venus in Scorpio has no patience for the superficial. Relationships of all sorts, with clients, coworkers, or partners, gravitate towards honesty and deepening the connection. Whatever has been kept hidden in those relationships can surface while Venus is here. Venus stays in Scorpio until October 25, when it backs into Libra during its upcoming retrograde. Venus returns to Scorpio once again from December 4 to January 7. This provides us two chances to work with the energy and get it right.

One thing to try: Pick a business relationship that you want to strengthen, then step into vulnerability and share a true account of a difficult but transformative time you went through and what you learned. By opening up and sharing a raw truth that one normally would not verbalize, that relationship can reach a new level of exchange.

Mercury enters Libra – September 10.

What it means for your business: Mercury in Libra specializes in cooperative discussions and seeing all sides of a situation, and therefore does its best work in negotiation and anywhere both parties need to leave satisfied. Mercury stays in Libra until September 30. The weak spot can be decisiveness while Mercury is in Libra. When every option has merit, Libra can weigh them for so long that the choice gets made by default and loses intentionality.

One thing to try: Conversations ask for fair exchange now, give and take. Invite the other person’s perspective before you present your own. Then set a deadline for your opt-in/opt-out day, so that weighing options does not turn into stalling out.

Uranus goes retrograde – September 10.

What it means for your business: A retrograde is a chance to reflect on how well we have been working with that planet’s themes. Uranus has been in Gemini since late April, and it stays there into 2033. It is rewriting how we source information, take it in, make sense of it, and express it to others. This includes how we listen, learn, and speak in our business interactions. Uranus stations retrograde on September 10 and stays that way until February 8, 2027, which gives us our first real review period since Uranus moved into Gemini. Use it to look at what Uranus wants to revamp in terms of how you direct (or redirect) your mental energy. If you think you were enlightened and changed your mind about something since April, just wait…get ready to change it again.

One thing to try: Audit your information diet. What are you reading, watching, listening to, or asking AI that is shaping your business thinking? Cut one source that just adds noise and keep one that genuinely creates fresh and useful shifts in perspective.

New Moon in Virgo – September 10.

What it means for your business: A New Moon is always the moment when a new beginning of some sort starts to take shape. The days just before it, Monday through Wednesday this week, are for resting and releasing what is done. Then think of the New Moon and the weeks that follow as turning the ignition once again and putting the car in drive. By the Full Moon two weeks later we reach some kind of destination or realization. September 10 is an invitation to decide on a fresh start in the Virgo area of your chart. If you know which house Virgo occupies in your chart, you can see what that house means in your business right here.

Virgo is the continuous improver of the zodiac. Always examining the details and analyzing the processes in place to see where things can be made better. Virgo critiques, sometimes harshly. But its desire for real results is what moves us from the dream state to the doing state. It is also the sign of service, with a drive to be of use to others in its quest for improvement. So this New Moon asks questions like: Where have I gotten sloppy? How am I going to tidy up for more efficiency? How can I organize my business even better to provide more value to clients?

One thing to try: Pick one area of the business where you have been sitting in the inspired stage, and move it into a task list with actual steps and dates. This New Moon makes a supportive connection to Mars in Cancer, so organization feeds action around this New Moon, as long as that action protects something you truly care about.

Mercury in Libra, the ruler of our Virgo New Moon, gets pulled into several important conversations this weekend as it aspects Pluto, Neptune and Uranus. For business people, this can make meetings and negotiations unusually productive if you know which influence you are working with.

Mercury trine Pluto on September 12 helps conversations get beneath the polite surface. This is good for asking the question nobody has asked yet, identifying the real objection, getting clearer on motives, or discussing terms that require trust and candour. Mercury trine Uranus on September 13 does something different. It opens the door to a solution nobody had considered. A stale discussion can suddenly move because someone sees the problem from a completely different angle. The one that can trip us up is Mercury opposite Neptune, also September 12. Neptune blurs. Someone at the table, possibly you, may hear something that was not quite what the speaker intended. Write the terms down, clarify what each person believes was agreed to, and do not rely on implication.
