Venus Retrograde 2026 and Your Business

Venus is spending a lot of time in Scorpio over the next several months. She entered Scorpio on September 10, she’ll turn retrograde there in October, and eventually she’ll go back into Libra before returning to Scorpio again in December.

Venus is what we value and what we’re attracted to. While she’s in Scorpio, we’re all under a bit of that Scorpio influence in what appeals to us, who we’re drawn to, and what we want from our relationships.

Mercury, the planet of communication, adds to the Scorpio influence from September 30 through December 6. This includes a Mercury retrograde in Scorpio from October 24 to November 13.

But Venus’s return to Libra is interesting to me. There’s a natural order in the zodiac. One sign leads to the next, and there’s something to understand about that progression.

Libra comes before Scorpio. So before we get into Scorpio’s trust, vulnerability, honesty, and deep bonding, we have Libra’s consideration, cooperation, and equality. We recognize that the other person has their own experience and perspective. We treat them fairly. Either person has the right to disagree politely. Then we have something to build trust on.

When Venus goes back into Libra this fall, I see an opportunity to revisit that part of the relationship. Have we actually been considerate of each other? Is the arrangement fair to both of us? Because we’re asking a lot of someone if we expect them to be open and vulnerable while their point of view keeps getting dismissed.

That matters in business. It matters with clients, business partners, and the people we collaborate with.

The dates.

• September 10, 2026: Venus enters Scorpio.
• October 3: Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio.
• October 25: Venus moves back into Libra.
• November 13: Venus stations direct in Libra.
• December 4: Venus returns to Scorpio and stays until January 7, 2027.

Venus in Scorpio and the retrograde review.

Venus in Scorpio wants to glimpse the depths of the partnership she’s getting involved in. Scorpio is investigative. It wants to get to the core of the matter and understand what’s going on beneath the surface. With Venus, we’re bringing that attention to our relationships and values.

Between now and October 3, there’s an opportunity to develop a deeper connection with a client or potential collaborator. We may be drawn to people who take the relationship seriously, who are willing to be open with us and invest themselves in the work we do together. Loyalty and trust matter here.

But wanting that closeness can also bring up the fear of being vulnerable or giving someone too much influence over us. Scorpio has its defenses. Are we being as transparent as we expect the other person to be?

When Venus turns retrograde on October 3, we revisit those attractions and attachments. What drew us to this person, project, or arrangement, and do we still value it? Where are we holding tightly to something, and are we being honest with ourselves about why? In a relationship, are we giving each other reasons to trust, or expecting loyalty while keeping our own intentions hidden?

Venus in Scorpio values depth and transformation. Can we remain bonded while giving each other the freedom to transform and grow? If that growth makes us insecure, we may need to reconsider what we expect loyalty to look like.

The review can also show us what deserves more of our devotion. We might rediscover a creative interest or recognize how much we value someone’s contribution. Consider whether you still want to invest yourself in it, what makes it meaningful to you, and whether your expectations need to change.

From October 25, Venus is back in Libra. This is where I would revisit consideration and equity in the arrangement.

The other person may have a very different experience of working with you. You might think you’ve been flexible. They might feel they’ve been the one doing most of the accommodating. Or perhaps it’s the opposite. It’s worth taking the time to create an environment where a genuine, truthful exchange can take place without negative consequence.

Libra can consider another perspective without needing everyone to think the same way. Both people can explain what they need, disagree respectfully, and still treat each other fairly. There’s something we can work on before Venus returns to Scorpio and we ask more of the connection.

Venus stations direct in Libra on November 13 and returns to Scorpio on December 4, staying until January 7, 2027.

By then, you may have changed an arrangement or understood something about your own attachments. What still draws you in, and what are you now willing to commit to? Consider what you’ve learned about trust and fairness before deciding how much of yourself to invest.

That’s the progression I’m interested in here. We give each other consideration. We recognize that the other person is having their own experience. We allow disagreement and still treat each other fairly. Then we can look at what it takes to trust each other more deeply.
