Work With the Sky: Week of September 14 – 20
Control issues?
Hello entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, builders and creators of all kinds. Here is your astrological weather forecast for the week of September 14 through 20.
September 14: Fresh ideas and energy.
We come into Monday carrying enthusiasm from Sunday evening’s Mercury trine Uranus. A conversation you didn’t plan on, or an angle you hadn’t considered, can open up new neural pathways. If an outside-the-norms idea dawned on Sunday, or even a new type of tech you want to try, don’t ignore that flash of brilliance.
Then Monday’s Sun in Virgo sextile Mars in Cancer rewards steady, methodical progress on tasks you truly care about, making it a great day for practical organization backed by heart. The Sun in Virgo wants to execute on a solid plan. You may not blow the doors off with Mars still in Cancer, but you are still able to act with strength when there is emotional connection to the plan, project, or person involved.
September 15: Check yourself.
Venus in Scorpio squares Pluto in Aquarius on Tuesday. If I had to pick one aspect to watch this week, this is it, especially in partnerships where trust and power are already touchy subjects. Drama, paranoia, and manipulation can creep in from either side, so check your own behavior too. If you need reassurance from the other, ask for it plainly. Don’t turn it into a silent test the other person has to miraculously pass. If you’re the one being pressured, consider what lies beneath the surface of the other person’s actions.
Neptune sextiles Pluto Tuesday evening, part of a longer aspect pattern that has been forming this year and keeps going for several more. If we tap into this energy, we may choose to step back and view the larger forces at play even during times of challenge such as the Venus square Pluto that asks us to release our need for total control.
September 18: Realism vs. pessimism.
Friday, Mercury in Libra opposes Saturn in Aries, and the First Quarter Moon is in Sagittarius. Optimism can be harder to sustain under these astrological influences. Treat the tension as a recalibration opportunity. Use it to review a proposal or check your own reasoning. It’s a good day to get clear on what you can commit to. It’s not the best day for open brainstorming, because every suggestion may hit an objection. Be realistic but note the point where realism turns into pessimism.
The Sagittarius Moon squares the Virgo Sun as we move into the First Quarter Moon action phase after the September 10 New Moon. What new intention did you lock in around September 10? Virgo wants the plan and the details. Sagittarius wants the big picture and some room to wing it. Work through the next practical problem in front of you. You don’t need the whole trip mapped before you embark.
September 19: A grounded weekend.
The Moon is in Capricorn all weekend. That keeps us grounded in Earth element and conserving some energy for what looks to be a lively week to follow. Sort your priorities, block your time, and don’t feel bad if your weekend is not the most social one.
