Weekly Astrology Forecasts Kind of Suck

We take a break from our regularly scheduled Monday forecast today to discuss something I recently saw people posting about on Substack, which was how bad weekly astrology forecasts suck. And honestly, I get it. Weekly forecasts can get a bit tedious after a while, both for the reader and the writer.

You know who adores weekly astrology forecasts? Generally, astrologers or budding astrologers. You know who might get tired of reading them? Regular people who read the forecast and expect something monumental to occur in their lives at every single planetary shift discussed, and then get bummed out when it doesn’t happen.

So, first things first. No Substack article, email newsletter, or YouTube astrology forecast is ever going to be as resoundingly accurate and eye opening as a one-on-one session. Nothing can even come close to a one-on-one session with a trained and talented astrologer. And in order to make that session really impactful, that astrologer had better have excellent communication skills and some coaching or counseling skills too.

That’s because the astrological events you feel the most are the ones that activate a specific sensitive placement in your own birth chart, and neither me nor any other writer or YouTuber knows what your unique, special birth chart looks like. In order to get exact with forecasting, us astrologers need an exact birth chart in front of us. Without that, we can give you the general vibe of the week, but you honestly won’t feel things super strongly and obviously unless, as I said, they happen to align with one of the particularly sensitive spots in your birth chart. And when I say align, I mean closely align.

This goes for me, you and anyone else. I read about lots of transits that I don’t consciously feel in any given week. Sometimes I do, but often I don’t, and I know precisely why I do or don’t because I have my birth chart in front of me always. That’s what this week’s blog is really about.

Even when we don’t feel a subtle energy shift, or we don’t notice a planetary event the way we hoped to, that does not mean the energetics we are operating our business in are not shifting and changing with time. When you stay astrologically aware, you are always going to have an edge in life and business, regardless of whether you strongly feel a palpable change in your own life or not. Think of how many people out there are feeling that shift because, for them, it does activate something in their unique birth chart, even if it doesn’t for you. Or, I dare say, even if you are too preoccupied with some stressful situation in your life to think to notice what that full moon would like you to take note of. Some astrological influences are going to be subtle, and let’s face it, subtle and understated is left ignored by most of us in our modern society. We want big, and we want it now, and if we don’t get that, we check out.

Most weekly astrology forecasts exist to educate, open minds, and sell one-on-one astrology sessions. The real good, mind blowing astrological forecasting can only be done one-on-one with your exact birth chart. And that means an exact, 100% accurate time of birth.

Which is another issue. When people book a session and give a guess for their birth time, “Oh, I think my mom said about 6 pm,” and the time is actually 8:00 pm, that is going to throw that reading off, particularly if the astrologer is going deep and detailed and not just doing a general overview.

I will still write many weekly forecasts for you on my Substack. But after reading the critiques of some well-known, wildly successful astrologers that I read today, I wanted to discuss why weekly forecasts will sometimes fall a bit flat, and that is not the fault of the astrologer writing them and it does not mean that astrology is bullshit. It’s just the reality of how the planets work on us. Or don’t, depending on the specifics of our own charts. You’d have to know a lot more about astrological birth charts to understand that concept on a deeper level, and I am not going to go that far in this particular article. What is worth mentioning here though is that many planetary transits last for weeks, months, or years. And you may read about it online, and think you feel nothing, when really you are only going to feel that particular transit more during the later portion of the cycle, rather than immediately at the start of it. Again, at the risk of repeating myself, I will say that it depends on your unique birth chart. :)

If you are still reading, then thank you. I promise you that I will continue to mix up my topics, provide inspiration, education, insights, and a non-mainstream take on many astrological events that is much more grounded than a lot of astrologers and spiritual entrepreneurs out there. So, I will strive for variety and not just one weekly forecast after another. Even though the criticisms I read today were not aimed at me, I understand them and I want to keep my ears to the ground.

The other guarantee I will make, which gets at the rest of what some of these astro-curious folks were griping about… I promise to not turn Astrology for Entrepreneurs into my own opportunity to make political statements, push my personal agenda, shit on one group of people or another, shit on AI users or non-AI users, fear monger via the planetary movements, or make entirely unrealistic predictions and claim they are based on sound astrological analysis (on that topic, see my earlier article linked here). This is Astrology for Entrepreneurs, and you will not hear me tell you to “tap into the root of your sacred feminine” or “commune with your Pleiadian ancestors.” I am keeping this channel geared towards folks who are working on their entrepreneurial dream, building a business, trying to attract new clients, changing their niche, or pivoting from an old career into something truly satisfying.

I don’t think it is possible, when dealing with something as utterly mysterious as how the planets impact the course of our life on Earth, to squeeze every last bit of woo-woo out of it. It’s astrology, and it’s always going to have an element of woo in there, no matter how practical I consider myself, but my earlier commitments stand regardless. If I fail to keep them, please do call me out.
